Have you been curious about our Long Arm Quilting Service? Well, you’re not alone! We get calls and emails constantly from potential customers asking us if our quilting service is right for them. You may have the same questions so I thought it would be a great opportunity to answer some of our most commonly asked questions?
Why have a quilt finished?
There will come a time when you finish a beautiful quilt top and begin to feel the anxiety rise when you think about quilting it yourself. You may not know what kind of a design to do yourself, you might fear the size of the quilt, you may just want a special design that you’re unable to do on your home machine. These are perfect reasons to contact us about our long arm quilting service.
What does it cost to have the quilt finished?
We go into much more detail on our Machine Quilting Overview page, but basically here’s the deal:
- $.02 per square inch
- A minimal thread charge between $4-$10 based on the size of the quilt
- Cost for batting $9.60 per yard for 90″ batting & $12.80 per yard for 120″ batting
What’s your turnaround time?
We strive to have your quilt back in 14 business days. That’s said, it is just a goal and depending on the time of year or if your quilt has additional needs like piecing the back or a binding service, it is likely that it could take a little longer. Let us know if you’re under a time crunch and we will try to accommodate your request!
Can you Quilt a T-Shirt Quilt?
The short answer is yes. Let me be clear, we don’t create them, however, we will quilt your t-shirt quilt for you. But the t-shirts need to have been interfaced in order to create structure to the quilt. In addition, we cannot go over buttons any other 3 dimensional materials on the quilt. Stitch Pattern options are limited for T-Shirt Quilts.
Can you make your stitch pattern smaller, create boarders, do both horizontal and vertical designs that cross hatch?
Unfortunately, No. And here’s why? We have created our service to be simple and easy with a speedy turnaround. We are committed to giving you exactly what we promise and custom work often requires far more time and costs much more for the extra work. We have recommendations for custom quilters if our service doesn’t meet your needs. Just Request a list of custom quilters if you’re looking for something we don’t offer.
Those are the most popular questions we get about Our Quilt Finishing Services!
